Ki'Lala

Ki'Lala means Butterfly in she-shashishalhem language, the traditional language spoken by the Shíshálh Nation, a Coast Salish dialect.

I wanted to honour my daughters who are from the Sechelt Nation and my Granddaughter's spirit.

Butterflies represent transformation, beauty, balance and change.

We are Indigenous women who have decided to alter direction since Truth & Reconciliation. We are determined to be part of the transformation and change on how Indigenous people are viewed. In reaching that goal we will share the beauty and balance of our traditions, teachings and culture.
